Goddard House is seeking a Temporary Marketing Associate & Outreach Coordinator for 3 months to help cover maternity leave.  The Marketing Associate & Outreach Coordinator will help spport the Marketing Director. The Coordinator will assists with sales, marketing and administrative duties for the Marketing department. 


General Office Duties:

  • Filing, faxing, calendar management, creating signs, sign-up sheets, labels, etc., and assisting with similar duties, as assigned

  • Copying/in-house printing, as assigned

  • Inventory management and supply ordering in coordination with marketing team


Assistance with Sales & Marketing:

  • Clearly articulate to visitors, potential residents and professionals what the community offers and why the community and its program are unique

  • Respond promptly and thoroughly to every telephone call or in-person inquiry from all referral sources, prospective residents and families, help with scheduling tours, and provide assistance during tours, including speaking with prospective resident family members

  • Monitor the Trailer, Model Apartment and parking area, ensuring they are tour-ready at all times

  • Assist with data entry and downloading reports from the community’s sales and marketing database

  • Coordinate with team to maintain supplies of all marketing materials and giveaways

  • Assist with scheduling and preparing for outreach meetings and presentations

  • Assist in planning and execution of informational events or other marketing functions. 

  • Assist in conducting public education presentations and trainings inside and outside the community, i.e. SLR’s Dementia Friendly Experience and Brain Healthy Cooking programs

  • When the community opens, ensure that the building and grounds are tour-ready at all times


Assist New Residents with Move-In

  • Assist to coordinate with appropriate departments (e.g. Maintenance, Housekeeping) to prioritize and assure timely apartment preparation for move-ins and/or moves within the community.

  • Assist in the scheduling of assessments and move-in dates, as requested, coordinating with nursing and other departments

  • Coordinate with all departments to obtain all required move-in paperwork and prepare the resident’s administrative file

  • Assist with new resident’s orientation to their new home, as requested, ensuring that each resident’s move-in day is smooth and successful

  • Advise residents and/or families of services available at the community



  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information, sales and marketing data and strategies, and community operations

  • Undertake any additional tasks and new initiatives to improve the marketing/sales process, as well as the move-in experience for residents, as requested

  • Post opening, maintain a working knowledge of all residents and family members in community; communicate any pertinent resident issues observed to the Executive Director / Business Office

  • Become knowledgeable about Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA) regulations governing the assisted living industry, as well as pertinent SLR and community policies

  • Conduct other tasks, as assigned, necessary to support the community as a whole, and be willing to pitch in and help out when needed, in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork across departments, to help fulfill our ultimate mission which is to serve our residents

  • Attend mandatory scheduled in-service training education programs to obtain the appropriate number of educational hours needed to meet the Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA) training requirements for assisted living, and fulfill additional mandatory training hours through the online learning system



  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred

  • Experience in a sales/marketing administrative support role preferred

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, and the ability to facilitate small group presentations

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the proven ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure with short deadlines

  • Working knowledge of general office equipment and strong computer skills (word-processing, spreadsheets, internet). Additional competency preferred areas: Google Business Applications including Gmail, Google Calendar and other web-based program management

  • Positive, upbeat, “can do” attitude; polite, patient and courteous persona; strong work ethic with great attention to detail

  • Must be a team player and demonstrate ability to work with a diverse workforce; must have a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm, willing to perform nonessential duties as needed, in order to contribute to the community’s atmosphere of team spirit

  • Acute sense of responsibility and moral integrity; sincere desire to work with elderly residents and ability to relate well with residents under all conditions in a pleasant, patient and tactful manner; compassion and patience essential

  • Flexibility in schedule: weekend, evening and holiday work may be required

  • Candidates must be responsible and punctual
